No Sound through speakers. Worked fine on 8.10...Doesn't work on 9.04.

I followed the comprehensive audio guide but haven't had much success. I have an HP Pavilion laptop. The sound worked through the speakers when I had Intrepid x64 installed. I made a clean install-over of Jaunty x64 and now I can only get sound through the headphones.

absolutely nothing is working. Bug and rebug. I would like to have a FreeBug. And even that would be a failure. Because if U take a free Bug then you supporeting the Kyle Do You Understand Southpark?

consider taking the time to download the latest live-image from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/lucid and see if this issue still
exists.

If the issue does still exist; in a terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal)
please execute the following command:
    apport-collect -p alsa-base %d
