Bug Description

Binary package hint: evolution

the screen saver was on. the app had been running minimised. I opened it to normal size. the menu bar and side bar appeared fine but the main window still showed the background. I tried to minimise/normalize it again and it crashed. the network is wifi and runs with wicd. wicd was chosen because the wireless network is up and down all day long. I'm also using compiz and awn (I minimised to awn). this is the i386 jaunty on a toshiba amd64 laptop and i updated yesterday. sorry I don't know if its associated with any of the other bugs. this is the first time I've noticed it crash. I do submit hardware tests.

forgot to mention I switched to spamassin today earlier as the bogo one did not seem to catch as much spam as inteneted and I turned on the one feature of spamassin that checks the internet (says its slower)

looks similar to http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=544497 but that was fixed, can you tell us a few easy steps in order to reproduce the issue?

I'm going to try reproduce it - simply minimizing or disconnecting network doesn't do it. I set spamassin junk mail prefernces back to include remote tests . the laptop had been inactive for 15 to 20 minutes. it is plugged in (ac) and power management set only to blank screen after 15 minutes - screensaver is set to run random but never changed the time.

I shut my computer down - evolution was minimized to awn - when I restarted shutdown restarted the laptop and when opening/restoring evolution from awn it gave me a same/similar problem. I checked what was running and it seemed two events were not responding (perhaps because I have two email accounts) I thought hey - now I can reproduce that. Did the same again. worked fine the second time. sorry guys I can't reproduce this. it definitely seems to happen when evolution goes to sleep or is suspended by restarting or screensaver.
Once again using a toshiba satellite laptop and wireless with the power plugged in.

I found that if I shut down without closing; when started evolution does not ask for the keyring password and just hangs ... waiting I guess. I can force quit and start it again but it still does not ask. if I force quit and reboot then it will ask for the keyring password.
When shutting down after 'hang' it always reports some evolution 'event' app is waiting and if I should quit.

I've just applied the latest updates I'll report if I continue to have this problem.
