The Ubuntu package has no changes.
The package builds cleanly in a karmic pbuilder

There were some Ubuntu changes in 1.5.1-0ubuntu[1,2], even if most of them have been merged... Could you list them all and their status (merged, deprecated...) ? In particular there is a debian/watch patch in 1.5.1-0ubuntu1 that was not merged... Should it just be abandoned, and why ?

 * New upstream bugfix release (LP: #340825)
    - Fixes captureimage to work with coordinates (LP: #340053) - MERGED (upstream)
  * debian/watch:
    - Update from 1.4.x to 1.5.x branch - DEPRECATED (now it uses ldtp-latest folder to get the latest changes)
  * debian/python-ldtp.install:
    - Change from 2.5/site-packages to 2.6/dist-packages (LP: #340605) - DEPRECATED (now it uses wildcards to match both)
  * debian/control:
    - Add python-gnome2-desktop to Depends, as ldtp now uses the wnck
      python module -> MERGED
