Bug Description
When a file is in your recent docuements, it is never adjusted no matter what action is taken on the file. Take this for example:
Create a file in gedit. Save it as ~/testfile
Open up your home folder in nautilus. Rename testfile to testfile_renamed.
Try to open up testfile in recent documents.
This same behavior occurs if the file was deleted, moved, or renamed.

I confirmed this behavior in Ubuntu Dapper Flight 6.
