Bug Description

Ubuntu 9.04 64bit on a Dell XPS M1330 laptop.

Using the Intel Pro 3945ABG network card on a hidden SSID WPA2-personal / AES encyprted network with the "automatcially connect" button enabled in gnome's network manager applet does not automatically connect.

I have to go to the applet and select "connect to hidden network" then select the network ID from the list (its in the list as the credentials are setup and saved) this works fine, but it does not auto connect.

this did auto connect fine in 8.04 and 8.10.

the 9.04 build is fully up to date as of 14/05/09

This does not appear to be a duplicate of #362152

#362152 states that he cannot connect to a wirless router with a hidden ssid.

This bug is not the same.

I can connect to a wirless network with a hidden ssid fine, the problem is that it will not auto connect with the "automatically connect to this network" option checked.

I have to launch "connect to hidden network" option and select the correct hidden network from the drop down list. With prevsiou versions of ubuntu once the hidden network was configured it would auto connect when in range, this is not the case with the 9.04 install.
