Bug Description
Binary package hint: transmission-common
This is the standard version of Transmission (1.34-0ubuntu2.2) for Intrepid 8.10, and it downloads the same data repeatedly (apparently an old bug). I downloaded a 6.2Gb file, and the main screen appears to report correctly as the file is downloaded - but after finishing, the session summary screen showed 16.2Gb downloaded - and so did my ISP, with whom I have a 20Gb monthly download limit! Had to pay for extra bandwidth this month.... :-( PLEASE upgrade to the latest debian version!

Could you point to the upstream bug report from transmission trac? It would help us to see if creating patch is possible and if not making a backport.
