Hi Scott

I have confirmed that the source of the bug is the Intel ProShare
Wireless 2100 mini pci card (driver?) in the Dell D400. I have worked
around by switching it off in the bios, and using an external PCMCIA
WiFi card (Cisco). So a fix is not urgent for me, but others may
encounter sim probs

thanks

Simon

Simon W, thank you for reporting this bug to Ubuntu. Jaunty reached EOL on October 23, 2010.
See this document for currently supported Ubuntu releases: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases

Is this an issue in a supported release? If so, could you please execute the following command, as it will automatically gather debugging information, in a terminal:
apport-collect 374820

affects: ipw2100 (Ubuntu) → linux (Ubuntu)
