klipper not catching all items properly

Binary package hint: kdebase-workspace

I'm currently running Kubuntu 9.0.4 64Bit, but encountered the exact same error with Ubunutu 9.0.4 64Bit as well, so it's not Gnome/KDE dependent as far as I can tell. I notice the problem most often when using konsole, where items sometimes just don't show up in Klipper. I have scripts that do the following:

1. Run a quick report
2. Dumps the output to the screen
3. Also pipes the output off to xclip

Sometimes the items show in klipper for easy pasting, other times they don't. Also, highlighting items in konsole is about 50/50 whether or not the items will be in Klipper. I can however highlight an item, and then middle click, and the correct text is dumped to the konsole. It's just not in Klipper, where I obviously would like it to be. I was able to use Glipper and Terminal as a temporary workaround, but as most know, Glipper significantly pales in comparison to Klipper.

I'm dying here without my klipper action, please help :(

KDE 4.2.4 is not affected.

I've upgraded to 4.2.4, and still experiencing similar issues. It's slightly less severe, but still definitely exists.
