Bug Description

Binary package hint: gwibber

Gwibber worked perfectly previously. Today when attempting to open it I get:

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/bin/gwibber", line 74, in <module>
    GwibberClient()
  File "/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/gwibber/client.py", line 238, in __init__
    self.indicate.set_desktop_file(resources.get_desktop_file())
TypeError: IndicateServer.set_desktop_file() argument 1 must be string, not None

I haven't made any configuration changes or performed any updates prior to this breakage.

Ronald, it seems this is caused by python-indicate package, please remove it and try again.

Thanks

A few days after I reported this bug, it went away as mysteriously as it appeared and I've been unable to reproduce since. I will report back if it happens again (and will play with the python-indicate package if it does as well).
