Bug Description

I had Ubuntu 8.04 installed and everything was fine.
So I update it to 9.04 and I have a problem when I click in Places/Network and choose an workgroup, it says "Unable to mount location Failed to retrieve share list from server"

Best regards,
Felipe Marteniuk

Additionally, does "smbtree -N" return a tree of your windows network ?

I have this problem, too. The Places/Network folder is unusable. I can connect to a server directly if I give a name, but I can't browse.

findsmb lists no servers, not even the local host.
smbtree -N says WARNING: no network interfaces found
smbclient -L mycomputer correctly lists share but also gives the same warning as smbtree -N

I have tried these tests both with ufw enabled and disabled; the result is the same.

Any ideas?
