Can you explain exactly what you mean by "broken down"? If you can post a screenshot, that might help.

Unfortunately, I can not recreate this defect. Here is what I tried:

 - I installed the Korean language translations on my system and set the language to Korean. Then I started OpenOffice, and saw Korean menus and dialogs.

 - I enabled the Korean IME, and was able to type compose some Korean text into OpenOffice Writer.

One other question. Are these packages installed on your system?

openoffice.org-help-ko
openoffice.org-l10n-ko

You can check using Synaptic, or you can run "sudo aptitude install openoffice.org-help-ko openoffice.org-l10n-ko" from the command line and see if it installs anything.
