Bug Description

Binary package hint: fast-user-switch-applet

The fast-user-switch-applet process started to exhibit high, close to 100% processor usage and restarting the process does not help.

Here are the ps aux outputs after two conswquent times killing the process (automatically restarts)"

pszilard 31255 99.3 0.4 244268 16812 ? S 13:55 25:33 /usr/lib/fast-user-switch-applet/fast-user-switch-applet --oaf-activate-iid=OAFIID:GNOME_FastUserSwitchApplet_Factory --oaf-ior-fd=20
pszilard 31957 95.6 0.3 240088 14392 ? S 14:24 0:09 /usr/lib/fast-user-switch-applet/fast-user-switch-applet --oaf-
activate-iid=OAFIID:GNOME_FastUserSwitchApplet_Factory --oaf-ior-fd=20
pszilard 31967 98.6 0.3 240084 14396 ? R 14:25 0:02 /usr/lib/fast-user-switch-applet/fast-user-switch-applet --oaf-activate-iid=OAFIID:GNOME_FastUserSwitchApplet_Factory --oaf-ior-fd=20

At the same time, in the auth.log some lines seem to be referring to this incident:
May 8 14:20:01 csbl09 CRON[31758]: pam_unix(cron:session): session opened for user root by (uid=0)

uname -a:

I have same problem on my Ubuntu 9.04. I'm using freenx and every user connected over network have f-u-s-a running.
Those processes causes high cpu load. I'll attach strace.
