Bug Description

After a fresh instal of 9,04 the alternative restricted driver, which works, appears for the Atheros AR5007 wifi. After the first updates, and then a reboot, wifi stops working, and any entires in restricted drivers disappears. This is an HP G50-133US. This computer, along with the last 2 laptops I've had, is the 3rd one where wifi doesn't work "out of the box" under Ubuntu. The most madening this is, EACH of these computers is low end! AND each of these involved the Atheros wifi.

Stuck with NO wifi.

I've also had my Atheros device disappear recently. Worked fine Sat, installed updates, restarted, put to sleep and then woke up yesterday and wireless device was gone. modprobe of ath5k does nothing, hardware switch does nothing
