Bug Description

[Using Akregator 1.4.2 on KDE 4.2.2 on Kubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty)]

For example, the KOffice news feed (http://www.koffice.org/news_rss2.php) has its four oldest items marked as things like "Wed, 31 Dec 1969 23:59:59 +0000".

That's incorrect, of course (should apparently be somewhere in late 2005 or early 2006), but it shouldn't really make a difference - those items should be shown at the end of the feed's item list and not marked as "new".

However, it seems that every time I start KDE, Akregator re-fetches them and sets their "date" value to the current date and time, showing them at the very top of the list as new feed items of today. (Which was very confusing at first, and annoying from then on).

Hi there!

Thanks for reporting this bug! Your bug seems to be a problem with the KDE program itself, and not with our KDE packages. While we appreciate your issue, it would be better if it was tracked at https://bugs.kde.org, so that the KDE developers can deal with this speedily and have direct communication with you as the reporter for more effective debugging.

Thanks!
