Bug Description
Maybe not so much a bug as a newbiegoof? Newbie here 3-4 months (have been using windows since the 3.1 for workstations days..old huh?), so it is my fault. I have a 64bit cpu but prefer using 32 bit OS for the whinehq (play at poker stars alot.) I have ecs a-780gm hybrid crossfire mobo, AMD64 7750 Kuma and a 3650 add on graphic card so I have been using the restricted ATI drivers. When I was prompted to upgrade it left the 32 bit graphic drivers in place and upgraded the rest to 64bit. When it restarted.. boom no graphics. Opps. I kept hearing Modonna singing "Like a Virgin, for the very first time" LOL
So I was thinking, when the upgrade program sees the 64 bit cpu why not install the common drivers for everything? Letting the person know the restricted drivers need to be reinstalled?
I do love this OS. There are so many things I am discovering and the support is so rich. While I am reading and applying I keep thinking, "Wow windows could have been like this, a truly communal approach to getting things done."
The true spirit of the web.
peace be with you, tom
