Error Message during installation of Ubuntu 9.04 on Windows Vista

Bug Description

I have problems in course of installing Ubuntu 9.04 on a desktop with windows Vista pre-installed OS by ACER . I make several attempts also with earlier release of Ubuntu , but come out always the same error message:
[ 0.296001] .. MP-BIOS bug:8254 timer not connected to IO-APIC
[ 0.296001] Kernel panic- not syncing :IO-APIC+timer+timer doesn't work!
Boot with apic=debug and send a report . Then try booting with the 'noapic' option.
[ 0.296001]

Machine data:

ACER
mod. ASPIRE M1641
Processor : Intel Pentium Dual CPU E2220 2.4 GHz
RAM : 2 GB
Operative System : 32 bit

Please help me by suggesting something .

Please try booting with the 'noapic' option. Also try with Ubuntu 9.10
