Bug Description

Good Evening,
I would like to inform you about a problem in ubuntu 8.04 and 8.10. The problem deals with webdav in presence of a firewall proxy. Both through nautilus and through the terminal (using cadaver, for example) it is not possible to login and gain access to a webdav resource, unless opening gate 80 in the firewall. This is clearly a thing to avoid because of obvious security reasons. When logging in nautilus says that an http error of unreachable resource has occurred. If not using a firewall proxy or if opening gate 80 there are no problems of login to a webdav resource. Is it necessary to open another gate beyond gate 80? If it is, please let me know which one. Thanks
