When someone has a twitter profile image with probably an "-" in the filename, gwibber crashes on it. I have tested it on two completely computers. It halds on this twitter profile: http://twitter.com/brammuller

I get the same problem, the profile I'm following is this one http://twitter.com/renartleveille, and yes, the profile image has a "_" in it...

What's worst, this problem blocks me from receiving updates from others that I follow...

Ooops. This problem only blocks the user with the "_" in his picture file. The other users were blocked for a different reason (now solved).

please check whether this happens with the latest karmic packages of gwibber. if you are on jaunty and cannot try karmic check-out the daily PPA to get equivalent backports: https://edge.launchpad.net/~gwibber-daily/+archive/ppa.

I have a similar problem. When Gwibber starts up or fetches the message list, it prints out below error message on console _ I ran it with -v -d options.

image_cache HTTP Error 404: Not Found whilst fetching http://s3.amazonaws.com/twitter_production/profile_images/53930040/개죽이_normal.jpg

One of my friend has a profile image which its' name is mixed with Korean and underscore "_". I can't sure which one causes this problem. Anyway the image is shown well via web browser, no problem.

I'm just like David Gillies with the exception that I see some pictures (approximately 10% of my contacts). It appears on both identi.ca and twitter accounts.
