Bug Description

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel

After the update 2009-05-05 the Virtual Screen Size in xorg.conf is ignored.
Instead of the virtual screen size configured in xorg.conf, xrandr reports 2048x2048.

from the Xorg log:
-----------
(II) intel(0): Defaulting Virtual to 2048 2048 for i965.
------------
in an older logfile i can not find a similar line.

Looking at the list of updates i assume it is related to "xserver-xorg-video-intel".
  2009-05-05 09:23:04 upgrade xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.6.3-0ubuntu9 2:2.6.3-0ubuntu9.1
Not sure though.

from xorg.conf:
------------------------------
Section "Monitor"
        Identifier "Configured Monitor"
EndSection

Section "Screen"
        Identifier "Default Screen"
        Monitor "Configured Monitor"
        Device "Configured Video Device"
        SubSection "Display"
                Virtual 2720 1024
        EndSubSection
EndSection

Section "Device"
        Identifier "Configured Video Device"
EndSection
-------------------------------------------

max@max300:~$ xrandr
Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1440 x 900, maximum 2048 x 2048
