When moving multiple songs from your library to an iPod if the device is read only (in the case of HFSPlus).
Rhythmbox will generate an error message for each file you try to copy to a read only file system. In the case of adding a large collection of music to a iPod it generated an error message for every song that is to be transfered will produce a error box. This happens quickly producing a stack of error messages, in some cases it will produce enough error messages to make gnome unusably slow.
