Bug Description

Hi,

When enabling the module, I first got some complaints of opendir() and readir() about
/sites/sandbox.rocky-shore.net/files/countdown/

Then I tried to configure a countdown block in the right sidebar.
Here are the new warnings:

    * warning: fopen(/home/rockyroad/sandbox.rocky-shore.net/sites/sandbox.rocky-shore.net/files/countdown/0.txt) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/rockyroad/rocky-shore.net/drupal/sites/all/modules/drupal-ubuntu-countdown/releasecountdown.module on line 277.
    * warning: file_get_contents(/home/rockyroad/sandbox.rocky-shore.net/sites/sandbox.rocky-shore.net/files/countdown/0.txt) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/rockyroad/rocky-shore.net/drupal/sites/all/modules/drupal-ubuntu-countdown/releasecountdown.module on line 278.
    * warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/rockyroad/rocky-shore.net/drupal/sites/all/modules/drupal-ubuntu-countdown/releasecountdown.module on line 279.
    * There is a security update available for your version of Drupal. To ensure the security of your server, you should update immediately! See the available updates page for more information.

HTH,
Best regards,
RockyRoad

This would have been a fully wide spread bug. This error would have resolved after updating cache. I added a partial copy of the function that pulls cache to the installation process of the module. This will create the directory as well as fill it.

Changed in drupal-ubuntu-countdown:

After downloading the new version, I still had the error messages.
I then ran update.php , first automatically (didn't open the "Select updates" list).
Nothing changed, so I tried again, but no Countdown option was showing up in the updates list.

So I uninstalled, then reactivate the module.

Now I've no more error messages, but I couldn't get the block showing up, even when both checkboxes
(anonymous & authenticated users) are ticked.

Clearing cache doesn't help.

Sorry for that ...

Sorry, I should have mentioned that part.

Did you enable the module in the settings page?

Ok I'm tired today. I had actually enabled the module in admin/build/modules.
But then I went directly to admin/build/block and admin/build/block/configure/releasecountdown/0 .

Now I enabled the module on admin/settings/releasecountdown and it works :)
Nice job !
