Bug Description
Binary package hint: debian-installer
On a newly installed jaunty, /etc/modules contains lp.
It is automatically loaded by /etc/init.d/cups if needed, so I would think it can be removed from /etc/modules.

In a fresh installed Kubuntu 10.04 I have the "lp" in /etc/modules too.
