Bug Description

Binary package hint: kdebluetooth

I am using Kubuntu 9.04 and today an annoying problem appeared regarding kbluetooth.
If I shutdown my system I get a segfault error message, because kbluetooth crashed (screenshot attached).
This Bug appeared today after a few updates were installed. Yesterday everything worked fine for me. So this problem must be caused by a recent change in the kdebluetooth package.
My package version of kdebluetooth is 1:0.3-0ubuntu4.

This error can also be reproduced, when I stop the bluetooth process manually with this command:
sudo /etc/init.d/bluetooth stop

These are the last lines of KBluetooth before it crashes, when I run it manually in a terminal:
kbluetooth4(5935) BluezBluetoothManager::slotDeviceRemoved: interfaceRemoved "/org/bluez/5895/hci0"
kbluetooth4(5935) Solid::Control::BluetoothManagerPrivate::_k_interfaceDestroyed: Interfacedetroyed
kbluetooth4(5935) BluezBluetoothManager::removeInterface: Removing Interface "/org/bluez/5895/hci0"
kbluetooth4(5935) KBlueTray::adapterRemoved: adapterRemoved: "/org/bluez/5895/hci0"
kbluetooth4-devicemanager(6320) BluezBluetoothManager::slotDeviceRemoved: interfaceRemoved"/org/bluez/5895/hci0"
kbluetooth4-devicemanager(6320) Solid::Control::BluetoothManagerPrivate::_k_interfaceDestroyed: Interface detroyed
kbluetooth4-devicemanager(6320) BluezBluetoothManager::removeInterface: Removing Interface "/org/bluez/5895/hci0"
kbluetooth4(5935) Solid::Control::BluetoothManager::buildDeviceList: UBI List ()
kbluetooth4(5935) KBlueTray::offlineMode: offline Mode
kbluetooth4(5935) KBlueTray::offlineMode: Unregistering Agent
KCrash: Application 'kbluetooth4' crashing...
sock_file=/home/jannes/.kde/socket-jannes/kdeinit4__0

At the time of that crash I had two bluetooth input devices connected, but this bug is also reproducable with no bluetooth devices connected at all.

This bug is especially a problem, because it stalls the shutdown process.

Okay, i just googled for the older version of this package and found this:
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/jaunty/i386/kdebluetooth/1:0.3-0ubuntu3

After downgrading to 1:0.3-0ubuntu3 this bug is gone, so it definately seems to be a regression in 1:0.3-0ubuntu4.

A regression is unlikely. 0ubuntu4 was just some translation tweaks, so it's probably just a coincidence.

Anyway, to be certain could you please click on the "show details" checkbox on the crash window and paste the backtrace here please? Thank in advance.

Oh yes, I tried to do that, but I only get an error message (I have attached the screenshot).

I installed libqt4-dbg libc6-dbg kdelibs5-dbg and still no backtrace produced. There is no package called kdebluetooth-dbg. If you need more information, please let me know how to obtain it.

Could you please install kdebluetooth-dbgsym after following the instructions at https://wiki.kubuntu.org/DebuggingProgramCrash , and then paste the backtrace? That package should make the crash logs usable. Thanks.
