Bug Description

A colleague of mine installed Ubuntu Netbook Remix (UNR) on an Asus EEE PC 4G. There were some issues during the installation, see https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/372228. I don't know if this is related with the following bug.

Ubuntu 8.04 had been running very smoothly on that system, whereas with UNR 9.04 it is hardly possibly to even use the mouse. When he tries to use the mouse, there is a constant jerking. Windows open in way like you would try to run a new GNOME system on a Pentium 90. Seems to me there is something very much wrong with either the UNR GUI or the graphics chip recognition. Or else, maybe there is a connection with this: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/349314. Just a guess.
