Bug Description
I am using Inkscape 0.46 for Windows on Win XP SP3. My screen resolution is 1024 x 768.
On the default A4 page I have an object which has the following dimensions:
X = 121.549 Y = 758.308 W = 431.188 H = 94.813 px
When I press the [Fit page to selection] button (File > Document Properties...) the page correctly resizes but the selected object and page moves out of view. I need to scroll down to find the image. I tried repeating this and found that at the following zoom levels (View > Zoom > ...) the selected object and page moved off screen:
- Zoom 1:1 (100%)
- Zoom 1:2 (50%)
- Zoom 2:1 (200%)
- Page width (125%)
Thanks in advance.

Confirmed on Windows XP, 0.46.
"Fit page to selection" moves the object to the origin point (0,0) of the page. If this point is out of your window, you don't see it.
But the behavior is different with the development version (tested with build 21236), and the selection doesn't move from it's original position on the window (the object position is correctly set to 0,0).
As a fix has already been committed, I'm surprised not to find another report about it.
