Binary package hint: pidgin-festival

I can not get the plugin to work most of the time. Sometimes if I reinstall the plugin it works. Then after I close pidgin the plugin no longer works. I am using 9.04 with the lastest pidgin and festival. The festival program itself works just fine.

Hi I don't know how or why but I have found this: http://developer.pidgin.im/wiki/Using%20Pidgin#HowdoIgetsoundtoworkcorrectly

I used for playing sound command: aplay -q %s. Voilla pidgin-festival works

same here. sound in pidgin and festival in console work. But not both.

Same. festival works, Pidgin sound works. Tried kamil's suggestion.

Pidgin debug window looks as if it's trying:
