Bug Description
Binary package hint: sox
sorry, this error appeared during update from Ubuntu 8.10 -> 9.04. I unwillingly interrupted the update-process by a shutdown. When trying to resume, I had some problems, one was this.
ProblemType: Package
Architecture: i386
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04
ErrorMessage: Versuche, »/usr/lib/
NonfreeKernelMo
Package: libsox-fmt-base 14.2.0-1
SourcePackage: sox
Title: package libsox-fmt-base 14.2.0-1 failed to install/upgrade: Versuche, »/usr/lib/
Uname: Linux 2.6.28-11-generic i686
In my case, the installation halted from time to time, indicating that some part of the installation crashed. Sometimes I tried using apt-get to continue the update, and finally I clicked on the orange install-error icon to finish.
I started the upgrade by mounting the ISO image for the alternate 9.10 install CD. When I started the installation, I specified NOT to obtain files from the Internet. On finishing that phase, I proceeded to upgrade using apt-get. I made no changes to sources.list other than commenting out the line for the CD at that point.
