Thank you for reporting this bug to Ubuntu. Are you using the 64 bit version of Flash from Adobe or the packaged version from Ubuntu?

I face te same problem. As I remember the plugin has been the same since it was released (there was no update from Adobe) and still it was more stable when I was running Intrepid. At the moment I'm facing the problem with:

http://nitrome.com/games/doubleedged/

but other games tend to crash firefox as well.

I'm using firefox from Jaunty and flash plugin downloaded from Adobe. Both 64 bit versions.

Thank you, could you please try with the version from the official repos. We do not support the 64 bit version of flash as it is still in the alpha stage of development. You can subscribe to Bug #326555 to receive an update when it is packaged. I would suggest installing the 32 bit version from the repos and see what happens.

Since this report have a long time without activity, please could you check (if is possible) in latest version included in Karmic if this issue is still happening? Thanks in advance.

With latest flash Shockwave Flash 10.0 r45 and firefox (3.5.8+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.9.10.1) I don't experience the crash anymore.

I absolutely do experience this bug with Shockwave Flash 10.0 r45 and firefox 3.5.8+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.9.10.1 from the Ubuntu Mozilla Security Team PPA. Ubuntu karmic main seems to have 3.5.3+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu6 instead, which also has the issue.

Any flash seems to crash firefox with both combinations of firefox/flash currently available (2009-03-07T13:44Z-8).

@Scott S. McCoy

Are you crashing on the same game and are you using the 32 bit flash in the Ubuntu repository?
