Bug Description
Binary package hint: kcolorchooser
I'm not sure whether this should really be considered a problem with kcolorchooser or with xorg.
When the KDE colour selector is asked to use "Named colours", it fails to find the list of named colours. The error window says:
Unable to read X11 RGB colour strings. The following file location(s) were examined:
/usr/share/
/usr/X11R6/
/usr/openwin/
I have checked in packages.ubuntu.com and in Jaunty there are no packages that provide any of the above files.
(Since selecting some of the "40 colours" adds a name I'm assuming that X has changed how it handles colour naming and the "Named colours" in kcolorchooser hasn't caught up).
Packages xcolors and xcolorsel have a similar problem:
xcolors
/etc/X11/rgb.txt: No such file or directory
xcolorsel
Error: Cannot open RgbTxtFile "/etc/X11/rgb.txt".
which renders them unuseable
