Bug Description
Binary package hint: cupsys
After a recent upgrade to cups 1.3.9-17ubuntu2, printing stopped working with my Brother DCP 7025 on USB.
It was working fine until a few days ago, that is well after I upgraded from Intrepid to Jaunty (AMD64). After I installed some upgrades, I noticed that printing does not work anymore, and when I tried to re-install my printer driver, Cups did not recognize the printer.
I checked the logs, and I have the following error messages:
cat /var/log/

I have checked other bug reports on Launchpad, including #348316 which fixed a similar problem with a new release of hal-cups (0.6.19+

Did you try the brother- cups-wrapper- laser package from multiverse, according to https:/ /wiki.ubuntu. com/BrotherDriv erPackaging it should support the Brother DCP 7025 printer.
