Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

I used the CompizConfig Setting Manager to customize the compiz effects.
Using the "Show desktop" plugin(the ones that moves windows from middle to edges) some windows suddenly ended up on the wrong workspace, became invisible on that workspace(one could see some rectangles on the workspace switching panel application that suggested they was placed there) and you could not maximize the windows, in short became unreachable.

I am using the proprietary ATI drivers,
Linux lordmetroid-stationary 2.6.28-11-generic #42-Ubuntu SMP Fri Apr 17 01:57:59 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux

this happens occasionally with my compiz + nvidia.
it might be triggered by opening/unminimizing windows while the other windows are "moved out" to show the desktop (but i haven't found a reliable way to reproduce this bug).
last time it happened, several of my windows became unreachable. after a short fight with keyboard shortcuts (alt+space move) and "expose" (which showed the windows but did not allow to activate it) the compiz finally crashed and the windows have returned to normal.

This bug shouldn't be 'low,' at least on my computer. No matter which way I set the move windows, it breaks. I find myself with important windows either pushed off all workspaces or entirely disappeared, visible in top but not in the panel, awn, or alt-tab. I have to kill the applications and restart them. It destroys my workflow. The only solution I could find was to switch to 'fade' show desktop. It's a HUGE problem with this module.

I am running AMD/Nvidia Compaq R3000 from about 2004, with Nvidia x86-96.43.19 drivers.

Fade to show desktop works fine.
