I open thunderbird in safe mode or regular, and it freezes and that's it. at that point not really done anything, .. if i'm fast and i change the screen or open a mail it might not freeze. I've tried gdb thunderbird but it doesn't reconnize the binary, .. I'm assuming it wasn't compiled with gdb support.
The system i'm running this on is ubuntu 9.04 jaunty, everything worked before i upgraded to jaunty, ..

Thanks for filing this bug. Have yu tried to open a new profile in thunderbird? Start thunderbird from the command line
/usr/lib/ thunderbird/ thunderbird -P
and create a new profile an check if this freezes too.
If yes, try to reinstall thunderbird, and check if it happens again.
