Just a random Idea: Has your display an size of at least 1024x768? If
not, could you check if supertuxkart comes p if you edit
$HOME/.supertuxkart/config so width is set to 800 and height to 600?

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test a current, supported, Ubuntu version. If you can test it, and it is still an issue, we would appreciate if you could upload updated logs by running apport-collect 370269, and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.

Hi Leo,

The problem seems to have been an update that partially wrecked my nvidia driver (the proprietary version). I didn't notice it at first because usually when the driver is harmed by e.g. a new kernel, the driver doesn't work at all and the system uses the vesa driver (640*480 :-( ) which wasn't the case. The final solution was to completely remove the driver from my system and reinstall it.

Sorry for taking so long, I thought the ticket was closed long time ago. Rgrds Bruno

Hi Bruno,

Thanks for your reply. In this case, the issue should be marked as "Invalid", not as "Fix Relased". And you shouldn't be the asignee. You can read more about this on the documentation pages: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/HelpingWithBugs

I don't have permissions to change this, so I'll ask somebody to do it.

pura vida.
