Bug Description

Yes the panels are not there to be seen if the desktop is scrambled left unreadable. After upgrading to 9.04 I have to use my wives computer to come online here to report glad I didn't upgrade both at the same time. if you give command please make it easy on ,e and make it step by step I tried command lines from here it always give me "unrecognizable " I am not good with the command line use, but have had results before using it. I need a fix or a way to revert before the 9.04 upgrade.
thanks

Here is a screen shot of my Ubuntu after the upgrade to 9.04 ! hope it takes to this post . Maybe some one else sees this, also when they have the upgrade.. As you can see by this view My desktop is useless looking like this. Placing the hard drive into another pc and looks the same. So it is software not hardware! This makes my ubuntu useless.
Help Please!

Looking at the attachments in this bug report, I noticed that "Ubuntu after 9.04 upgrade." was flagged as a patch. A patch contains changes to an Ubuntu package that will resolve a bug, since this was not one I've unchecked the patch flag for it. In the future keep in mind the definition of a patch. You can learn more about what qualifies as a patch at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Patches. Thanks!

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue for you. Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.

Also, did you use desktop-switcher to change between modes at some point? If so, then this is likely a dup of Bug #349519 and you may want to look at that bug for potential solutions and workarounds
