Bug Description

the flashing animation notifying you that the volume is at full blast already takes too long.
Using the hotkeys on a laptop is then annoying as the volume is then impossible to reduce until it finishes playing the first animation.
For instance if I'm listening to music in the dark and one song is suddenly very loud. I hit the volume up hotkey by accident. If I hold it down it then takes ages for the volume keys to become responsive as a realise my mistake as it is playing the animation., This generates a backlog as if I then hold my finger on the volume down key it will wait for all the volume full animations to play then seed down to volume: none (this animation is much shorter and so works fine). Also there is a strange black bar that appears just above and to the left of the notification (just a visual bug i think)
I am using netbook remix 9.04 with an eee pc 901
thank for your help, hope you can understand what I mean
BTW : libnotify1 - 0.4.5-0ubuntu1

i can confirm this.. i have used the karmic alpha 2 live disk. i didnt try this with nvidia's restricted drivers because i couldnt install karmic, but it appears that they took out the glow when you reach full volume or the fade when you reach lowest. if not, i think they should just remove it. i have a nvidia 8800gt and a q6600 and it makes my computer lag.
