pidgin crashes when checking facebook

Binary package hint: pidgin

I got a plugin to run facebook in pidgin and when the new notifications come up, i want to check them. But these notifications make pidgin to close down and then i have to load it again. I use the chat for facebook from here: http://code.google.com/p/pidgin-facebookchat/
if there is any problem with their's then please any develop would like to develop something for facebook???

The facebook plugin for pidgin is not a default or standard plugin. The plugin issue could be a pidgin plugin bug or the custom facebook plugin.

SD: Please try using the pidgin-facebookchat plugin packaged in Ubuntu and see if you can reproduce the problem.

How are you trying to open up the notifications? From the new mail listing in Pidgin or using the notification that flashes at the top of corner of the screen?
