.Desktop with icon type .svg do not render in nautilus

Ubuntu Desktop Bugs

Bug Description

Adding custom applications to Applications menu (/usr/share/applications/*.Desktop), there are many formats for icons that render proper previews (/usr/share/pixmaps). svg files render proper previews in nautilus, and svg can be used for icons which render properly in the applications menu. However, while *.desktop files normally use the icon and name specified in the file, files in nautilus take on a default blank icon instead of the specified icon when the specified icon is type svg.
