Dead keys half working in kubuntu 9.04

Bug Description
Binary package hint: kubuntu-desktop
Fresh install of Kubuntu 9.04 (amd64)
Using a french canadian keyboard, there are some parts of KDE programs that won't let me enter somme characters with dead keys like è,à,ì,etc.... Instead I get `e,`a,`i,etc...
The problem appears
-In the search bar and adress bar of konqueror, but not in the main konqueror window
-In the post-it plasmoid
