Bug Description
I am using 9.04 Jaunty Jackrabbit.
During installation of ubuntu, I set the 'automatically login' option for my one user account. It's still set in the login preferences, but I am no longer automatically logged in. It worked fine for a couple of bootups, but now I get the usual gdm login screen to type in username and password.

For my case, automatic login never work. It only give me a blank screen, not even gdm login screen. I have tried manually edited /etc/gdm/gdm.conf but it did not work as well. I have to edit /etc/gdm/ gdm.conf- custom to remove automatic login in order to get gdm login screen.
Additional information, I did clean install using netinstall, expert mode as the default mode give me blank screen.
