Bug Description
I tried to pause in the toolbar, and pause in the menu (they weren't synchronised, I pressed the toolbar button first, it was pressed, the menu item was unticked, time to look at GtkUIManager?).
It didn't seem to stop the encoding, and because my V4L device is a webcam, the flux of data would be constant.

Damn. The items are synchronized but there was a typo that prevented the code from running. I just committed a fix for it and it will go in the 0.9.1 release, which I guess will have to come sooner rather than later.
Live devices with a constant stream can be stopped via the "Remove from queue" menu item or toolbar item. I have been planning on ways to make this more obvious - perhaps a stop button alongside the progress bar that will always stop the currently running item and remove it? Adding that as a blueprint and seting this bug status based on pause issue.
