Bug Description

Binary package hint: ksshaskpass

On my laptop (x86_64) with Kubuntu 9.04 if ksshaskpass is invoked via ssh-add, after entering the passphrase, ksshaskpass seems to hang for ca. 30s before either adding the identity or reporting bad passphrase. If x11-ssh-askpass is invoked instead of ksshaskpass, the response is immediate.

I use following packages versions:
openssh-client: 1:5.1p1-5ubuntu1
ssh-askpass: 1:1.2.4.1-7
ksshaskpass: 0.4.1-1

I could also reproduce the bug on a different x86_64 machine, with the same packages.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. ksshaskpass 0.5.1, which is a KDE4 version is in jaunty backports or will appear there soon. Would you please test it and report if the problem still exist?

The ksshaskpass from the jaunty-backports seems to work with Ubuntu 9.04 (no hanging).
