The TightVNC message leads me to believe that the arguments that are being passed are not correct.

Without giving any sensitive information (such as user / pass) can you tell me what settings you are using for this vnc connection?

Does changing any of the settings get you past the error? If so, which.

Also, does the error still occur with "encodings" set to "auto"?

Dear Kamujin,

This happens when:

1. Encoding is set to anything but auto
2. Pixel format is set to anything but auto
3. Connection type is set to Shared

Many blessings.

I edited the title of this bug report to reflect the new information.

It is my understanding that you can work around the problem by avoiding certain configurations. Can you confirm?

I will take a look to see if I can determine why those settings are causing you problems.

Within the last version or two, gnome-rdp was modified to use xtightvncviewer. However, a command line argument "-Autoselect=0" which has no meaning to xtightvncviewer is still being added to the argument list when you using anything but the auto setting for encodings and pixel format.

I do not know why "shared is not working yet".

I am marking this bug as confirmed and I will work on a bug fix.
