the daemons don't work when are launched in startup, but they do when u restart them manually

Bug Description

Version: mysql Ver 14.12 Distrib 5.0.75, for debian-linux-gnu (i486) using readline 5.2 (Ubuntu 9.04)

It never work at startup, but when restarting manually it does perfect.

What does /var/log/daemon.log tell you? Preferable during the time of the presumable failure during startup.
