Bug Description

Binary package hint: wallpaper-tray

gnome panel version 1:2.26.0-0ubuntu-7
wallpaper-tray version 0.5.5-0ubuntu2
ubuntu release 9.04 jaunty

After installing jaunty, I tried out the new wallpaper tray and it worked without a problem. Now it will not load in the panel, instead it gives me this error: "The panel encountered a problem while loading "OAFIID:wp_tray". Do you want to delete the applet from your configuration?" If I choose not to delete, I can not see it anywhere on the panel by left clicking, but when I restart the computer it tries to load it as many times as I choose not to delete. It gives me the message that the applet tries to load, and then the previous error again.
I have tried completely removing the package from synaptic, reinstalling, and re-downloading the package for a fresh install, but the error remains. I'm not sure if it is relevant, but I used the storage device manager to automount my other partition at logon and the first time it automounted is when the bug occurred. I also deactivated the automount but it still does not work. Not sure where to go from here, I don't really want to do a fresh install again.

Okie, I solved this problem. This error occur when old paths to picture folders were not still exist.

Press Ctrl+2 and enter "gconf-editor", go to apps -> wp_tray. On the right panel, right click on dir_list, choose Edit Keys and delete all values inside.

Now, return to panel and add it again. Hope it is useful for you.
