Bug Description

Binary package hint: notification-daemon

Info:
Ubuntu 9.04
notification-daemon 0.4.0-0ubuntu4

I like the new Notification System, and I found at a changelog that there were a small menu to configure the notifications.
I found it [notification-properties] hidden, at System > Preferences. But it doesn't work.
It opens a small window, with 2 options: theme and position... But when I change something and I click "Visualize" or "Close", nothing changes. The black box keep on the same corner, with the same icons.
There's no error message, and it neither outputs something to the terminal. It simply "don't work".
the "Visualize" button works... It shows a example notification, always on the left-top corner, that flashes when I press the button again (opening the example again, I presume).

I would like to change it to another corner...
And, if it's possible [I don't know where do make a feature request or, well, I don't know], it would be pretty good if it goes with my color scheme, like the old balloon used to work. The box is always black, but my scheme now mixes green and yellow, i.e.

thank you in advance.

[sorry if something is poorly translated, I'm using the pt_br localization and I don't know the exact words in the english loc]

This is not a bug, it's a misunderstanding. Notification-properties is for Notification Daemon. Jaunty ships Notify-OSD by default, which does not use that applet. You can get back to the old Notification-Daemon by removing Notify-OSD or by installing and using gnome-stracciatella-session.

Changed in notification-daemon (Ubuntu):
