Bug Description
Syncdaemon doesn't seem to detect when its already running. Now normally this would not be wrong, since Linux is a multi-user OS, and teh application is running at the user level.
In this case however, both processes were owned by the same user, and trying to operate on the same folder.
This had detrimental effects on system performance, and looked something like an opera about bug numbers performed by mup and hal.
We should proactively prevent this from happening. In my case it looked as if the daemon had not loaded, and I loaded it manually. This (apparently) resulted in two sessions running at the same time.
