system hangs on shutdown (*ERROR* trying to get vblank count for disabled pipe 0)

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel

when i shutdown jaunty the screen goes black (after the usplash screen) and nothing happens. when i press alt+f1 there is a console login, but i cannot login...keyboard is not functional!

i'm using ubuntu jaunty 9.04 on a dell latitude e4300 with Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X4500MHD.

Hi spam666,

Please attach the output of `lspci -vvnn`, and attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log (and maybe Xorg.0.log.old) file from after reproducing this issue. If you've made any customizations to your /etc/X11/xorg.conf please attach that as well.

hi,

problem seems to be solved. a few days ago a acpi-bugfix was released via synaptic..since then i've no problems anymore.
