Bug Description

When i turn on my laptop my wifi card works well but if i take the interface down using the ifconfig wlan0 down change my mac and get it up again it stops working, i cannot conect anymore to any network the only way i been able to get the wifi card to work again is reloading de the kernel module ath5k but by doing so i lose the mac change i did before, this function was completely functional in ubuntu 8.10.

Thanks for your help.

PD. I've discovered that if I change the mac again to original one the wifi starts working again, so i guess it may be a Ath5k module issue.
