Bug Description

When I try to install the package j2re1.4, synaptic hangs while preconfiguring packages. If you install that package in the console using apt-get, you have to accept a license agreement. In synaptic there is no possibility to accept that license (the terminal widget is also only black). Further, it is not possible anymore to quit synaptic or abort the operation - i had to kill it manually.

sorry, the correct term is "preparing packages" not preconfiguring

Thanks for your bugreport.

I can't reproduce this on my breezy system. I get a debconf question about the license terms and it is displayed in a gtk window.

Kai, I tested this and it asked me about confirmation. Can you please test it again with more recent ubuntu and java?

It seems like this is fixed, I close the bug. Please reopen if you can reproduce it again.
