Bug Description

Binary package hint: plasma-widget-network-manager

I right-click the plasma icon for NetworkManager, and select 'Network Management'. Then I setup a wireless network with a WEP key and save it.
I can now see the new entry in the 'Wireless' tab, but it is unusable: there is no way to connect to that network by selecting and clicking on the corresponding line, nor can I find any 'connect' button.
If I left-click the plasma icon, I can see the same wireless SSID, but when attempting to connect to it a dialog pops up asking again for network configuration data, including the WEP key!

I can confirm... Although it will connect to a known network, you cannot switch networks through the interface. Clicking on the network names always creates a new connection.

This bug is the primary reason I continue to use knetworkmanager. The inability to manually connect/reconnect to networks makes the plasma widget essentially useless for anything but the simplest and most reliable wireless scenarios.

its really strange that the user is not able to switch between networks anymore. this is a basic functionality! i think there is no big response to this bug cause most of the users change "connect automatically" through the networks tab to make the widget connect to the wanted wireless. but this should really have at least medium importance imo.
